BEFORE YOU START
Your Loop must have been created and email invites scheduled before you can edit reminders.
You can only edit reminders that have not yet been sent.
To access this feature, navigate to the Invites Scheduled section on the details page of your Loop.
STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
Navigate to your scheduled reminders
1. Go to 'Invites Scheduled'
Open your Loop and navigate to 'Invites Scheduled'. The first screen you will see is the Invitees screen, which shows a list of everyone invited to contribute to this Loop. You will also see a count of total invitees at the bottom.
2. Select 'Review Notifications'
Click 'Review Notifications' to open the reminder schedule and see the date and time currently set for each reminder.
Edit a reminder date and time
3. Open the date picker for the reminder you want to change
Click the date picker next to the reminder you want to adjust. This allows you to choose a new date that better fits your schedule.
4. Select the new date
Select your preferred date from the date picker.
5. Update the time
Update the time field to set exactly when this reminder should go out.
đĄ Consider when your contributors are most likely to engage. Sending reminders during working hours on a weekday typically results in higher response rates.
6. Click 'Save'
Click 'Save' to lock in your new date and time for that reminder. A confirmation message will appear confirming the reminder has been updated.
Edit additional reminders
7. Repeat for each reminder you want to update
Repeat steps 3 to 6 for any additional reminders you want to adjust, such as the last chance reminder. Each reminder can be updated independently.
8. Save each reminder individually
Save each reminder after adjusting it. Once all reminders have been updated, your schedule is set and ready to go.
đĄ Your updated reminders are confirmed as soon as you save each one. You do not need to republish or reshare the Loop for the changes to take effect.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT
Your reminders will be sent at the updated dates and times you have set. Contributors will receive their reminder emails as scheduled. You can return to 'Invites Scheduled' at any time to review or adjust reminders that have not yet been sent.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Can I edit a reminder that has already been sent?
No. You can only adjust reminders that have not yet been sent. Once a reminder has gone out it cannot be changed.
Can I edit each reminder independently?
Yes. Each reminder can be updated independently using its own date picker and time field. You do not need to update all reminders at once.
Where do I find the reminder editing screen?
Navigate to your Loop, go to 'Invites Scheduled', and click 'Review Notifications'. From there you can open the date picker and time field for each reminder.
Will editing a reminder affect the Loop expiry date?
No. Editing a reminder only changes when that email is sent. It does not change the Loop expiry date. If you also need to update the expiry date, see the related article on updating your Loop expiry date and reminders.
Can I update reminders if I have already changed the expiry date?
Yes. After updating the expiry date, reminders are automatically adjusted to fit the new date. You can then fine-tune individual reminders further via the Invites Scheduled route if needed.
What reminders can I edit?
You can edit the date and time of any reminder that has not yet been sent, including the invitation to reply, the midpoint reminder (if your Loop is long enough to have one), and the last chance reminder.
