Yes. Privacy settings are available when you view and reply to a Loop

BEFORE YOU START

  • You don't need to set anything up. Privacy settings are there whenever you open a Loop you've been invited to.

  • The first time you open a Loop link, a Cookies message asks for your choice before anything is set.

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS

Choose your cookie preference when you first open a Loop

1. Open the Loop

Open the Loop from the invite link you were sent. A Cookies message appears in the bottom-right corner of the screen.

2. Accept or reject cookies

Click Accept to allow cookies and usage data, or Reject to decline them. To read how your data is handled first, click the cookie policy link in the message.

💡 Clicking Accept sets your privacy option to Cookies and usage data. Clicking Reject sets it to Usage data only. You can change this at any time from Settings > Privacy.

💡 Your cookie choice doesn't affect how you reply. You can still reply by video, audio or text either way.

Change your privacy settings later

3. Open Settings

Click Settings in the top-right corner of the screen. A menu opens with Display language and Privacy.

4. Select Privacy

Click Privacy to see the available options.

5. Choose your privacy option

Select one of the following:

  • Cookies and usage data: Dialogue remembers you between visits and collects usage events. This helps improve your experience and identify problems.

  • Usage data only: Dialogue collects usage events from your browser but doesn't store anything on your device.

  • Nothing: Dialogue collects no usage analytics from your browser.

6. Return to the Loop

Click the back arrow next to Privacy to go back to the Settings menu, or click away from the menu to carry on with the Loop.

💡 For more detail on how cookies are used, click the cookie policy link at the bottom of the Privacy menu.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

Your choice applies as soon as you make it. You can change it at any time while viewing a Loop by going to Settings > Privacy.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Is a privacy option set by default?

No. The first time you open a Loop, you're asked whether to accept or reject cookies. You can change your choice at any time from Settings > Privacy.

What happens if I click Reject?

Your privacy option is set to Usage Data only. You can still watch the Loop and reply as normal. To change this later, go to Settings > Privacy.

Will changing my privacy setting stop me from replying?

No. You can still watch the Loop and reply by video, audio or text, whatever privacy option you choose.

What's the difference between "Usage data only" and "Nothing"?

With Usage data only, Dialogue still collects usage events but stores nothing on your device. With Nothing, no usage analytics are collected from your browser at all.
